Division Of Investment Management

The Division of Investment Management is a branch of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission responsible for overseeing the investment management industry. The division monitors investment funds, professional fund managers, securities research analysts and investment advisors.

The Division of Investment Management primarily protects individual investors. Due to this focus, the division directs the majority of its attention to ensuring that retail investors receive proper disclosure with respect to mutual funds, exchange traded funds and other popular investment choices.
